Since my teenage years I have loved creating jewellery, however my passion didn't take hold until 2012 when I fell pregnant with my first child.

Having spent years cultivating a career in TV and video production, I suddenly desired and needed a more creative outlet that would allow me to work around my Son's needs.

I undertook a Silversmithing course and spent any free time, researching, learning, creating and practising my skills.  As my skills progressed and my collections grew I took my jewels to market - literally!  I began frequenting every art or craft show in my local area, selling jewellery and meeting customers.  Eventually I branched into the online space and was able to grow my brand online through social media.

Seeing my business grow and how happy my customers are with their jewels brings me an exceptional amount of joy.  Nothing quite compares to seeing someone wearing something you've poured your heart and soul into creating.

Designed and created in sunny Queensland, Australia, each Shy Dragonfly piece of jewellery is hand crafted using recycled sterling and fine silver.  Where possible I buy stones from miner/cutters.  Each SDJ piece has been made with soul, intent and lots of love.
